Graduation Fee

$50 due Friday, May 3rd

Covers: location rental, cap and gown, decorations, Class of 2019 t-shirts

  2. High School Intentions: We need to know where your student will be attending 9th grade. This information is submitted to the school board, state, and used to transfer grade and attendance records. We can’t release transcripts without this information. Due Friday, May 3rd Send in the letter of acceptance. If it is the original, we will make a copy and return the original to you. It may also be emailed to Carla_dejoie@auduboncharter.com

Events

Graduation rehearsal

Thursday, May 9th during school hours, 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Students may bring their shoes with to practice walking on the stairs and stage, if necessary.

  Last Day

Last official day of school for 8th graders is Thursday, May 9th.


Eligibility for Graduation

Academics

Students that fail one or more classes will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony.

  1. Students that fail more than one course will repeat 8th grade.

  2. Students that fail one course will be permitted to attend summer school. Upon successful completion of summer school, they will be promoted to 9th grade.

  3. High-Stakes LEAP Testing: students that do not earn a basic on at least two exams, will have to either: complete a remediation program or enter a transitional 9th grade class/program

Behavior

Misbehavior at school or at school functions (including field trips) may result in being unable to participate in graduation ceremonies at administrator discretion.

Friday, May 10th at 6:30 pm

Location: Sophie B. Wright Auditorium 1426 Napoleon Ave, New Orleans, LA 70115

Each student will only receive 4 tickets for guests. Tickets will be collected at door.

 

Dress Code (for everyone): Formal event

 

Drop off time for students: 5:30 pm

 

Photos: Utilize cordoned off photo aisle, do not block stage.

 

Etiquette During Ceremony: No noisemakers, yelling, banners, balloons (none allowed at venue)
