Rev. Cornelius Tilton has been the Pastor of the Irish Channel Christian Fellowship since 1988. Cornelius has also worked as a professional computer, business and tax consultant and was the Manager of Community Affairs at Tulane University Hospital. He also worked as a real estate salesmen and broker for over 23 years. He is currently General President and an instructor in Leadership Development at Christian Bible College of Louisiana and was named to the recently formed Ethics Review Board of the City of New Orleans.

Cornelius is fluent in French and makes frequent trips with the Baptist Missions to West Africa where he works to develop healthcare infrastructure and establish local leadership programs. His past activities include President of the New Orleans area Habitat for Humanities, trustee of New Orleans General Hospital, President, Treasurer, and Interim Director of the New Orleans Mission, President of Dillard University Alumni Association-New Orleans Chapter, and Volunteer Administrator and In-Prison Seminar Instructor for Prison Fellowship Ministries, USA. He is also the current Treasurer and past Chairman of the Greater New Orleans Federation of Churches.

Cornelius’ children attended the New Orleans Public Schools and he is committed to improving New Orleans public education for the benefit of the cities youth.
