Carlos Luis Zervigón is a native New Orleanian and is a graduate of the New Orleans Public Schools and Tulane University where he earned his high school teaching certification and a BA in History.

Carlos taught social studies at Benjamin Franklin High School for six years while earning his masters in history from UNO. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the NOCCA Institute for six years, has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the RosaMary Foundation since 1998, and is the Treasure of the Board of the newly formed New Orleans Creative Glass Institute. Carlos also currently serves on the Ben Franklin High School Planning Committee.

For the last thirteen years, Carlos has been an active volunteer at Audubon serving on both the Admissions Committee and the Principal Search Committee. Carlos is also a sculptor working primarily in glass. He has a BFA in Glass from Tulane University. His work has been shown in such cities as New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Santa Fe. All six of Carlos’ children have attended or are attending Audubon Charter School.
